In 1918, Herrmann Weyl gave the first theory which claimed to handle both gravitation and electricity as geometrical effects. For some reasons, Weyl\'s theory did not succeed. In this paper it is shown, that with a slight modification, the theory of Weyl becomes a realistic one, that describes not only electricity but stands in close connection to quantum theory.
